Halls, Smriti / Escritor
A charming picture book about accepting differences and loving what makes us unique - filled with super cute dogs! I wish I were a DIFFERENT dog, the quick and clever sort. Perhaps a spotty, dotty dog with hair all trim and short. Max wishes he was A DIFFERENT DOG.
His fur isn't FLUFFY enough to win Best In Show. His bark isn't LOUD enough to scare away danger. He doesn't sit .
. . or heel .
. . or fetch .
. . or come back when you call, either.
?But Max's owner thinks he's PERFECT! Can Max learn that he's perfect, too? Smriti Hall's bouncing rhyming story about a perfectly imperfect pooch is great fun to read aloud! Chris Jevons' bright and bold illustrations of Max and all his furry friends bring the text to life with colour and humour A gentle introduction to ideas of self-confidence and embracing our differences If you like this, why not try Bun On The Run, also by Smriti Halls and Chris Jevons!
