Il volume intende dare risposta alle esigenze formative di chi studia o opera nel campo della didattica dell’italiano a stranieri, di chi fa ricerca o si prepara per ottenere una certificazione didattica, un’abilitazione nazionale o altro titolo attinente. La prima parte affronta tematiche fondamentali dal punto di vista del docente (approcci e metodi, interazione in classe, tecnologie, QCER, correzione degli errori, valutazione, certificazioni). La seconda parte si concentra su questioni rilevanti dal punto di vista degli apprendenti (le variabili nell’apprendimento, l’interlingua, le sequenze acquisizionali) e mette a fuoco la specificità di alcuni profili – bambini, adolescenti, adulti e senior, studenti universitari, immigrati, oriundi italiani, operatori turistico-alberghieri, cantanti d’opera – come esempi di una costellazione di contesti e motivazioni allo studio da parte di stranieri in Italia e nel mondo. La terza parte è dedicata all’analisi dei manuali di italiano L2 e alla progettazione di materiali didattici basati su testi e immagini.
