AA.VV
what is possibly one of the most important ceramic pieces for the study of the Andalusian caliphate. What has been called Ataifor de Guadalajara shows the image of the Caliph with a multitude of attributes of sovereignty and political and religious power that, interpreted together, turn out to be the idea of the regime proclaimed by Abd al-Rahman III. This ataifor is one of the clearest examples of propaganda deployed, at all levels, by the Andalusian government to spread its legitimacy and the virtues of its sovereign. This volume includes, in addition to the study of iconography, the results of the excavation, the materials that accompany the ataifor, the archeometric study of it and its restoration process, giving a complete overview of the research developed on the piece.
