Reproducing a lively contemporary work by American creator and illustrator Erica Williams (aka HookieDuke), here a lynx is seen emerging from a haze of orange flowers. The courageous presence of the feline dares us to wonder where itÂ’s heading.
Originally created as a limited edition screen-printed poster for the Americana folk duo Watchhouse (formerly Mandolin Orange), this illustration was suggested to us for a cover design by our fans on Twitter! We were so enchanted by this special artwork that our Graphics teams got to work on reproducing it for this cover.
WilliamsÂ’ work is known for blending intricate traditional mark-making, surrealism, lore, and occultism.
